This article described an earlier plan for Family Basecamp that is no longer how the system works. We're leaving it up rather than deleting it, because we'd rather be honest about what changed than pretend it never existed.
Family Basecamp no longer issues an NFT, and Covenant is no longer a blockchain token. Building a real financial mechanism on top of a token like this raised serious questions we weren't equipped to answer responsibly, so we set that plan aside rather than launch something we couldn't fully stand behind.
Covenant is now a purely symbolic mark on the Referral ladder, earned when a family has helped 100 other families find their way to Family Basecamp. It carries no token, no wallet, and no market value of any kind.
The recognition system today carries no ownership, no payout, and nothing that can be bought, sold, or traded. What it recognizes is real: families who showed up, and families who helped others do the same.
