๐Ÿฎ Lamplighter

The light that helps others find their way.

Before streetlights illuminated every road, lamplighters walked through their communities with a simple responsibility: keep the lights burning. They didn't build the homes around them, or tell people where to go. They simply made sure there was enough light for others to find their way.

That is the idea behind Lamplighter. A family that has helped 1,000 or more families discover Family Basecamp has done more than make referrals. They helped make the path visible.

What Lamplighter means

Your family's Ember journey is about the moments you share with each other. Your Referral Ladder tells a different story โ€” it records the families you helped find Family Basecamp.

Covenant marks the first 100. Watchman marks 500. Lamplighter marks 1,000.

A thousand families is a thousand separate households. A thousand stories you don't own. A thousand journeys you don't control. But a thousand families who found the door because your family helped point them toward it. That's what Lamplighter recognizes.

Why call it Lamplighter?

A lamplighter's work was simple, but it mattered. They walked ahead. They lit the lamps. And they made it easier for the people who came after them to see the road.

The metaphor fits what we hope the Family Basecamp community becomes โ€” not a place where one family leads everyone else, but a community where families help other families discover something worth building together. Light doesn't become smaller when it is shared. It helps someone else see.

How your family earns it

Embers record your family's own moments.

Referral recognition records the families you helped discover Family Basecamp.

When your family reaches 1,000 referred families, Lamplighter is permanently recorded in your Chronicle. You don't buy it, unlock it by paying more, or receive it because you hold another recognition mark. You earn it by helping 1,000 families find their way here.

What Lamplighter does not mean

Lamplighter does not mean your family owns part of Family Basecamp, or part of the families you referred. It does not give you authority over the community. It is not an investment or a share of revenue. It cannot be bought, sold, or transferred.

It is recognition of something your family actually contributed.

What Lamplighter opens

๐Ÿฎ

A permanent place in your Chronicle

Your Chronicle records your family's own journey, and the ways your family helped others begin theirs. Lamplighter marks a remarkable point in that story: 1,000 families helped find the light.

๐ŸŽ

Ongoing referral credit

Once your family reaches Emunah, the $1 monthly credit for each active family you referred applies across all of them. The mark tells the story; the credit is a thank-you for real, ongoing activity.

Nothing about Lamplighter represents ownership or investment value.

There is no higher referral mark

Lamplighter is the final recognition on the current Referral Ladder. There is no 5,000-family tier waiting beyond it. Because at some point, the number stops being the point.

One thousand families is already one thousand families. One thousand homes. One thousand stories. One thousand opportunities for a family to choose to show up for each other. That's enough to deserve a permanent mark.

Keep the light burning

Family Basecamp started with one family trying to find a better way to show up for each other. It grows when one family tells another. Then another. Then another. Eventually, something bigger than the original family exists โ€” not because someone owned it, or controlled it, but because people kept passing the light forward.

You don't have to carry everyone's story.
You just have to help them find the light.
That's what it means to be a Lamplighter.
