א Emunah
Emunah means faithfulness. It is the mark of a family that kept choosing to show up for each other. Not once. Not for a season. For a full year.
Read The Phases of Fire →, the philosophy behind why this whole ladder is shaped the way it is.
Anyone can show up once. A family can even show up for a few good months. Emunah marks something harder.
365 Embers, earned one real moment at a time, across a full year of ordinary weeks. The busy ones. The hard ones. The weeks when nothing especially memorable happened except that your family still chose each other.
You don't unlock Emunah by paying more or waiting longer. You earn it by living your year.
There is no shortcut through it, because the moments themselves can't be shortcut.
The same way you earn every Ember before it: by living your year, not by buying anything.
When your family reaches 365 lifetime Embers, Emunah is permanently recorded in your Chronicle.
It cannot be lost.
It cannot be taken back.
Even if a slower season follows, the year you lived together remains part of your family's story.
A finished first chapter
Your Chronicle begins long before Emunah. At 25 Embers, you've started a story. At 365, you've lived enough of it to have a chapter worth closing. Emunah marks your first full year of showing up.
Ongoing referral credit
If your family has referred other families, Emunah is when a monthly credit for their continued activity begins: $1 for every family you referred who's still an active subscriber. It's a thank-you for helping other families find Family Basecamp — not a return on anything you hold.
Emunah itself carries no ownership, payout, or transferable value. The mark is symbolic. The story behind it is real.
There is no ceiling on Embers. Emunah is a milestone in an ongoing story, not the end of one.
A second year of showing up matters just as much as the first. A tenth year holds a family's history in ways a single milestone never could.
Emunah simply marks the moment when a year of choosing each other became part of your family's permanent record.
365 moments.
One year.
A family that kept showing up.
